Allan Lowe

John Allan Lowe (born March 6, 1965) is the owner of the Lowe Insurance Agency and has served as Mayor of Columbiana since 2000.

Lowe, the son of Johnny and Jean Lowe, moved with them to a small farm in Shelby County in 1969. He attended Shelby Elementary School, Columbiana Middle School and Shelby County High School, graduating in 1983. He went on to earn a bachelor of science in accounting at Auburn University in 1988 while also serving in the Alabama Army National Guard, where he was trained as a quartermaster officer.
