Anchorage Restaurant in March 2007

The Anchorage Restaurant is located at 2826 18th Street South in downtown Homewood. It opened in 1941 and has had only four owners since then. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. At lunch time it serves meat with vegetable plates, sandwiches, burgers, and salads.

In July 2005, R. T. Lee and Denton Scott purchased the restaurant. Lee sold his portion of the business to Scott in April 2008. William Shaia of Osprey, Florida, owner of the building, informed Scott that the lease would not be renewed when it is up at the end of October 2008.
