Audra Smith
Audra Smith (born January 23, 1970 in Milledgeville, Georgia) is the women's basketball coach at Clemson University in Greenville, South Carolina. She was the head coach of the UAB Blazers women's basketball team from 2004 to 2013.
Smith was a basketball star for Baldwin High School in Milledgeville and was named "Miss Georgia Basketball" in 1988 after leading her team to three consecutive Georgia 4-A state championships.
Smith played for the University of Virginia Lady Cavaliers under coach Debbie Ryan. After completing her sociology degree in 1992, she spent two years as counselor and social worker with the Department of Family and Children Services in Milledgeville. In 1994 she joined Ryan's staff as an assistant coach. She was hired as the Blazers' head coach prior to the 2004-05 season.
In nine seasons at UAB, Smith compiled a 138-138 record, including appearances in the Women's National Invitational Tournament in 2007 and 2013 and a Women's Basketball Invitational championship in 2011. After the 2013 season she was hired to succeed Itoro Umoh-Coleman as head coach at Clemson.
Smith is married to former basketball player Anthony Oliver and has two children, A. J. and Adria.
