Benjamin Franklin Roden Jr (born October 5, 1884 in Birmingham; ) was president of the Roden Coal Company, the Marvel Coal Company, and the B. F. Roden Grocery Company.
Roden was the son of Benjamin and Ella Lee (Didlake) Roden. He graduated from Howard College and went on to obtain a bachelor's in chemical engineering at Columbia University before returning to work at his father's companies. He became president at his father's death in 1908 and ran the companies until his death.
Earlier in 1908, Roden married the former Elizabeth Bowman, daughter of Congressman Charles Calvin Bowman of Pennsylvania. They had three children, Benjamin III, Calvin and Elizabeth, who married Culpepper Exum Jr.
