Birmingham Family Dental is a dental clinic located at 2930 4th Avenue South in Birmingham's Lakeview district. The practice was founded in 1986 by Grady Swicord and specialized in emergency dental procedures. To that end, it is open seven days a week and on holidays.
The practice was originally located at 705–707 21st Street South in Southside, and later moved to its current site. Swicord acquired a vacant property next to the clinic in 2018, and the former Birmingham Benz auto repair center around the corner in 2109. In 2022 the practice expanded from 7,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet, adding four additional doctors and 10 new staff members. The expansion also includes room for a planned educational program for dental assistants.
