Birmingham Fire Station No. 22/10 is a fire station for the Birmingham Fire & Rescue Service located at 4439 5th Avenue South in Forest Park-South Avondale. The project was suggested in a 2003 study by Firescope, Inc. and replaced Birmingham Fire Station No. 22 on Clairmont Avenue and Birmingham Fire Station No. 10 on 2nd Avenue South in downtown Avondale, both of which were constructed in the 1920s and are too small for modern fire equipment.

A $2.5 million bid from Builder-Contractor Inc. was approved by the Birmingham City Council in January 2008 and construction is expected to take a little over 1 year.

As of opening date, equipment housed at station 10/22 included:

  • Engine 10
  • Heavy Rescue 10
  • Rescue 10
  • Rescue 22
