Birmingham View is a multi-format media outlet focused on presenting stories about Birmingham's development and revitalization as well as community initiatives and urban living. It is published as a monthly magazine, as a website, and in a weekly public-access television show.

Birmingham View was founded in 2003 by former Birmingham News journalist Vickii Howell, who serves as editor-in-chief. She is assisted by executive editor Patricia Lloyd, and art director and designer Ivan Roberts.

The bi-monthly magazine features in-depth coverage of community redevelopment projects and policy issues, with special attention on the City Center. Other features cover upscale urban living, business news and arts and culture opportunities. Regular columns cover home decorating, personal finances, consumer issues, historical profiles, interviews, and an event listing.

The television program (BVTV) presents interviews with local leaders speaking about current issues affecting the city. Birmingham View produced a special series of spotlight interviews with the major candidates in the 2007 Birmingham mayoral election. The program can be seen on Bright House and Charter cable networks public-access channels.

The website allows access to archived stories and video on demand, as well as interactive features and a weblog of current news stories.
