Biso Collective is the name of a holding company established in November 2018 by Daxko-founder Dave Gray with financial backing from EBSCO. The company plans to acquire a portfolio of Birmingham-based "software-as-a-service" (SaaS) companies and allow them to operate independently while sharing resources and best practices from the collective.
The name "Biso" is derived from "Birmingham" and "software". The company renovated a former EBSCO-owned warehouse at 1301 1st Avenue North for their offices in 2020. CCR Architecture & Interiors was commissioned to design the renovations, which were executed by the Murray Building Co.
