Charles Brammer (born 1930 in Birmingham) and his wife Mary are the founders and owners of Morgan Creek Vineyards on Harpersville.

Brammer graduated Ramsey High School and joined the U. S. Navy, where he worked as an electrical engineer. After leaving the Navy he joined the Birmingham Fire Department, where he worked as a firefighter for 8 years. After leaving the department he worked for IBM for a while, and then became an insurance agent for Allstate in 1964. In the mid-1970s he started making wine as a hobby.

After he retired from Allstate in 2001 the Brammers began producing wine commercially and are still expanding the business.
