Chuck Wingate (born July 12, 1954) is Chief of the Hoover Fire Department, having been promoted to succeed Tom Bradley, who retired in 2009.

Wingate began his firefighting career with the Bluff Park Fire District in 1970, when he was just 16 years old. He is a 1978 graduate of UAB and rose within the department to the rank of battalion chief before being named chief.

Wingate is married (Sandra) and has two adult daughters.
