Douglas Building, March 2011

The Douglas Building (or Douglass Building) is a 10,498-square-foot building located at 2017 Morris Avenue. It was built c. 1904 for Douglas Brothers Produce.

During the early 1970s development of the Old Town Uptown entertainment district on Morris Avenue, the building housed Diamond Jim's. On the western wall a "Morris Avenue" mural was painted, denoting the beginning of the district.

The Douglas Building was sold in 2004 for $706,000. It is currently occupied by Kinetic Communications and the Hogan Law Office.
