Euphonious

Euphonious is a 3-day music and technology festival scheduled to be held on the Henley Park Lawn at the Birmingham Zoo during Fathers Day weekend, June 18–20, 2021. The event was created and booked by Bradley Metrock, CEO of the Nashville-based Project Voice event series. Metrock hopes to grow the festival to fill the void left by the end of City Stages.

Due to the ongoing 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, the event was planned to allow for social distancing. The lawn area was divided into 300 ten-foot by ten-foot squares which could be reserved for a group of up to 8 people at a cost of $500 per night. Holders of $99 per night individual tickets were confined to standing room areas outside of the grid. Additional precautions included temperature checks, mask-wearing requirements while outside the squares, and the provision of hand sanitizing stations.

Festival vendors will showcase technologies, many of which utilize voice-driven interfaces. Local artists are also expected to exhibit work. Though the event, with a $250,000, is organized on a for-profit basis, a portion of proceeds will be donated to United Ability.

Several of the scheduled acts, including Moon Taxi, LaBoix, Hawthorn Street and Soul Inscribed, have ties to Metrock's alma mater, Vestavia Hills High School.
