Fire Rock Products is a manufacturer of prefabricated masonry fireplace units with offices at 312 23rd Street North in Birmingham and a manufacturing plant in Atlanta.
In January 2008 the company proposed to invest $8 million to renovate an existing 150,000-square-foot building on the campus of Hanna Steel in Fairfield. The company asked the Jefferson County Economic and Industrial Development Authority to assist the project by issuing revenue bonds to finance the renovation.
Fire Rock would create 56 jobs over three years.
