Gary A. Bostany (born March 26, 1952 in Birmingham) is an amateur historian, landlord, and former artist and art director for Southern Living.

Bostany is one of eight children born to restaurateur and salesman Fred Bostany and his wife Harriet.

Bostany purchased and restored the Warwick Manor Apartments in Five Points South where he also resides. He served as president of the Five Points South Neighborhood Association from 2006 to 2012.

Bostany was involved in the Friends of Railroad Park and volunteers with the Vulcan Park Foundation. He has researched the mining history of Red Mountain and leads history tours of Five Points South and Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve. He also contributed to the 2021 "The Historic Red Ore Express" self-guided tour by Backstory Educational Media.
