Green Drive is an approximately one-half mile road in Trussville and serves as a link from the business district near the Interstate 59 Chalkville Road exit to Trussville-Clay Road. The road leads north from Chalkville Road, then turns east just before intersecting the interstate. The entire eastern portion of the road is occupied by the Trussville Wastewater Treatment Plant and surrounding land owned by the Jefferson County Sewer System.

In May 2013 a culvert collapsed on the road causing it to be shut down between Norrell Drive and Trussville-Clay Road. In September, the contract for construction was awarded to Bob Smith Construction, with the engineering construction awarded to Schoel Engineering. Construction was completed by December and the road reopened on January 14, 2014.
