Howard F. Yeilding (born January 25, 1899, died January 21, 1964) was the founding president of the Jefferson County Personnel Board, serving from 1935 to 1946, and again in the late 1950s.

Yeilding was one of six sons born to department store owner Frank Yeilding. Like his brothers, he attended Birmingham-Southern College. He married Lu Klie in Arkansas in 1935.

Yeilding died just before his 65th birthday in 1964. He is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery. At his death, Yeilding left a bequest to Birmingham-Southern which initiated construction of the Yeilding Chapel in his father's memory.
