Jefferson-Hillman Hospital was the name of the combined Hillman Hospital and Jefferson Tower, placed under the control of the University of Alabama School of Medicine on June 4, 1945. The hospital was the anchor for the growing University of Alabama Medical Center which eventually became UAB Medical Center.
