Locust Fork High School is a high school in the Blount County Schools system serving just over 500 students in grades 7-12 in the city of Locust Fork. Tommy Smitherman is the current principal.
Locust Fork High School's athletic teams, known as the Hornets, compete in AHSAA Division 3A, and the school colors are green and white.
The first Locust Fork School was constructed in 1921. In 1937 the Works Progress Administration contributed to construction of a new high school. That building was destroyed by fire on January 10, 1961. The present school was rebuilt on the same site. Additions to the building were completed in 2000 by Golden Construction.
In 2015 assistant principal Tim Clevenger was arrested and charged with child pornography when a video of a teenage girl showering at his home was found on a computer issued to him by the school system. He was convicted at trial in June 2018. He pleaded guilty to four additional counts in 2021.
