- Simon Speights (2005 - July 26, 2007), appointed by council, resigned after 1994 felony conviction surfaced
- Gaston Randle (July 27, 2007 - October 12, 2007), assumed office of Mayor Pro Tempore after Speights' resignation
- Deborah Miller (October 12, 2007 - present), appointed by Governor Bob Riley to fill Speights' unexpired term.
