This article is about the professional football player and coach. For the Brookside police chief see Mike Jones (Brookside).

Michael Anthony Jones (born April 14, 1960 in Chattanooga, Tennessee) is a former NFL wide receiver and is currently a football coach.

Jones played collegiately at Tennessee State University, and in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings (1983 - 1985) and New Orleans Saints (1986 - 1989). After his retirement, Jones began his coaching career at Liberty University. He was an assistant with the XFL's Orlando Rage in 2001 and with NFL Europa's Rhein Fire for five seasons.

In 2004, Jones took the head coach position with the Frankfurt Galaxy. In four seasons, he led the Galaxy to three World Bowl appearances winning the NFL Europa title in 2006.

In November 2007, then-president of Team Alabama, Joe Cribbs, tapped Jones to be the team's head coach, after talks with Jackie Sherrill broke down. As of March 26, 2008, Jones was on "unpaid administrative leave" from the team. The league cancelled its scheduled 2008 season just before training camp was to begin.
