MotionMobs is a smart phone application developer founded in 2010 by Taylor Peake. It moved into Innovation Depot in February 2012 and then into its own space in the former Blackwell Furniture building at 2429 1st Avenue North later that year.

Robert Hahnemann was named CEO in July 2013. Jennifer Fisher succeeded him in 2022.

MotionMobs' commercial products include the animated children's audio-book "Sam The Spider" and the photographic scavenger hunt "PiktureThis".

In 2020 MotionMobs partnered with UAB and the Alabama Department of Public Health to develop a smartphone app to work with new Google (Android) and Apple (iOS) capabilities to trace contacts between individuals who might have transmitted COVID-19 before being diagnosed.
