The Pioneer Cafeteria was a chain of buffet-style restaurants owned by Bert Gurley. The business had three locations, including one on the west end of Eastwood Mall, one downtown on the lower level of the AmSouth-Sonat Tower, and at 9213 Parkway East in Roebuck.

The Eastwood location was bought from the Britling Cafeteria chain, which had purchased it in turn from Barber Dairy, which operated a cafeteria restaurant there beginning in December 1965.

The last location to cloase was the one in Roebuck.
