Rebecca Yeager
Rebecca Lynn Kornegay Yeager (born April 16, 1984 in Birmingham) is an actor, stage director and adjunct professor at Auburn University at Montgomery.
Yeager graduated from Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School in 2002 and enrolled at Birmingham-Southern College to study theatre arts. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2006 and was hired by the college as an admissions counselor. She completed a master of fine arts at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg in 2013 and was hired as director of the Stagedoor Youth Theatre at Children's Dance Foundation.
She also joined the faculty at Auburn University at Montgomery, and returned to Birmingham-Southern as a part time instructor and costumer in the Department of Theatre, advancing to a part-time faculty member in 2015. In 2016 she added the responsibilities of a resident artist at Birmingham Children's Theatre. She is also a founding member of In Toto, which provides arts programs to clients at the Firehouse Shelter.
Yeager was made a full-time member of the BSC faculty in 2023 and directed the Birmingham-Southern Theatre's final production of "The Fantasticks" in April 2024.
Yeager is married to Turkey Creek Nature Preserve manager Charles Yeager and has two children.
