Salamander Festival

The Salamander Festival is an annual event in Homewood sponsored by the Friends of Shades Creek since 2004. The free festival, held at the Homewood Senior Center at 816 Grove Road, combines entertainment and children's activities with environmental education. The festival highlights the Spotted salamander, a species that survives in protected habitats in the vicinity of Shades Creek.
