Shelley Tyree is chief of campus police at the University of Montevallo. She joined the department as a patrol officer in 2000, was promoted to assistant chief in 2004 and assumed the duties of chief in December 2008.

In October 2010 Tyree was arrested in Calera on a domestic violence charge.
