The Smith Lake Castle is a distinctive large residence built on a bluff 400 feet above Smith Lake. It occupies an 18-acre parcel accessed from Cullman County Road 211 northwest of Bremen.
The 5,500 square-foot, four bedroom, 3 1/2-bath house was constructed in 1980 by a building professional. He sold it in 1995 to a couple who owned it until they decided to downsize in 2019.
The property, which also includes an 8,000 square-foot garage building and a boathouse, was initially listed for $5.25 million, but soon dropped to $4.6 million.
