Substrate Radio is a full-time internet radio station based in Birmingham.

It was launched on January 1, 2013 by Jason Hamric at a studio space at 1 55th Place South in Woodlawn. With the motto, "none of the hits, all of the time", the station follows an indie/college format with a smattering of specialty programs during the week.

Substrate Radio relocated its studios to 2700 2nd Avenue South near Pepper Place in February 2014 and later moved to 2783 B. M. Montgomery Street in Homewood.
