Renovation date
No biggie, but the late 80's renovation actually took place in 1990: Confirmed with a B'ham news article: On Jan. 5 1990, "[in] Birmingham, officials at Century Plaza shopping center announced a $20 million renovation project to result in 20 new stores and the remodeling of 25 additional stores." (source: O'Hara, Jo Ellen (January 5, 1998) "People are talking..."The Birmingham News.) To me, it came as being the official death knell on the 80's and my childhood. I'll make the edit.
Other Stores: K-B Toys
- I see K&K and Kay Bee/Circus world were listed separately, but it looks like they were all the same store, which just had different monikers over the years. I'll defer to user:Dystopos if the separate listings need to be merged. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KB_Toys -- sagefats (talk) 13:55, 23 January 2023 (PST)
- Looking at the company history, Circus World and K&K were acquired by KB Toys in 1990 and 1991, respectively. I don't know enough about how that played out at Century Plaza to make a call. Hopefully we'll learn more by and by. --Dystopos (talk) 14:42, 23 January 2023 (PST)
Bookland
Why is Bookland listed twice in the "other stores" section? Robert Matthews (talk) 10:56, 12 November 2020 (PST)
