The Lory of Hoover (formerly Emerald Pointe Apartments) is a 192-unit apartment community adjoining Aldridge Gardens at 2149 Emerald Pointe Drive, off of Old Rocky Ridge Road, southeast of the I-65 / I-459 interchange.

The complex was constructed in 1970 and includes a clubhouse, laundry center, a swimming pool, a picnic area, playground, and an on-site childcare facility operated by Creative Christian Ministries.
