The Lory of Hoover (formerly Emerald Pointe Apartments) is a 192-unit apartment community adjoining Aldridge Gardens at 2149 Emerald Pointe Drive, off of Old Rocky Ridge Road, southeast of the I-65 / I-459 interchange.

The complex was constructed in 1970 and includes a clubhouse, laundry center, a swimming pool, a picnic area, playground, and an on-site childcare facility operated by Creative Christian Ministries.

In 2018 the Frankforter Group of Montreal, Quebec acquired the complex from Elmington Capital Group of Nashville, Tennessee for $12.5 million. In November 2020 Lexerd Capital Management of Summit, New Jersey purchased the complex for $14 million.

On December 20, 2021 a fire destroyed 8 units in one of the complex's buildings. No one was injured.
