Nelson Weaver

Nelson Weaver (born c. 1913 in Fort Payne) was a real estate developer and president of the Hodo-Weaver Companies.

Weaver went to work at a real estate company in North Alabama as a young man and swiftly became one of the state's most active developers. He moved to Birmingham from Oneonta in 1935 and developed notable projects in the city including the Homewood Garden Apartments and the Sheraton Apartments (1951), where he resided in a 6-room penthouse. He also had large projects in Jackson, Mississippi and Kansas City, Missouri.
