Bev Head

Beverly Pierce "Bev" Head III (born c. 1942 in Birmingham; died September 6, 2011 in Birmingham) was an attorney, business leader, and unpaid assistant to Richard Arrington, Jr's mayoral administration from 1991 to 1999.

Head, the son of Beverly Head, Jr and grandson of timber magnate Beverly Head, Sr, earned hi bachelor's degree in economics at Yale College in 1963 and completed his law degree at Yale University three years later, and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar. In 1966 he was commissioned as an infantry captain in the U. S. Army and served three years in Iran.
