Edgemoor Estates is a neighborhood in West Homewood located on the south side of Oxmoor Road in between Oak Grove Road and West Oxmoor Road. James King and Louie Reese purchased the land and had it surveyed for residential homes in 1958. The plan was approved by the Homewood Planning Commission on October 2, 1958 for 126 homes to be built in the neighborhood. Construction on the first set of homes began shortly after the final approval and most homes were completed by the early 1960's.

The western side of the neighboorhood backs up to Patriot Park and is separated from the park by a small creek. The eastern side abuts the Buffalo Rock Company complex.

Another development, Edgemont Park, was constructed just to the south of Edgemoor Estates in the early 1960's and connects via Knoll Crest Drive.
