Greg Gratton (born 1951 in Norwood) is the owner of Green Acres Cafe and the nephew of its founder, William Gratton.
Greg was born and raised in Norwood, attending Our Lady of Fatima High School, Parker High School and Phillips High School the first year after it was integrated. In the afternoons he worked at his father's restaurant. He later moved to California and started a family.
He returned to Birmingham in 1993 and worked with his dad, Charles Gratton, to expand the business to West End and South Avondale. The chain, inherited by Greg after his father's death in 1999, currently has 10 franchise locations. Gratton's wife, Cynthia opened a store in Irondale in 2005 and his daughter, Tomeka Baylor opened one with her husband in 2006 in East Lake.
Gratton was awarded the Five Star Business Award by Birmingham mayor Bernard Kincaid on March 20, 2007.
