Jack Royer is the co-anchor, with Sherri Jackson, of the evening news programs on WIAT 42.

Royer is the son of broadcaster Mike Royer and his wife, the former Amy Pinion. He graduated from Mountain Brook High School and the University of Alabama. While still in college he began his broadcasting career announcing on high school football games on WHPH-FM.

Royer began working for WVUA 23 in 2015. He joined WIAT as a Tuscaloosa-based reporter in 2017 and moved to the anchor desk on July 16, 2018.
