The Palisades Shopping Center is a 290,000 square-foot shopping center located on Palisades Boulevard at Green Springs Highway in Birmingham, adjacent to Homewood.

The shopping center was built on the site of the former Hillcrest Country Club and golf course between Oxmoor Road and Valley Avenue, opening in the late 1980s. Construction of the Palisades included building Palisades Boulevard and Palisades Drive. These roads replaced an approximately half-mile section of Oxmoor Road as a primary east-west route.

Virginia College of Birmingham leases several spaces in the center.

In 2002 the city of Homewood considered purchasing the shopping center for redevelopment into a municipal complex. Homewood officials were able to agree on a $16.9 million purchase price, but were unable to get Birmingham to agree to deannex the property.

In 2006 the shopping center was sold to Retail Specialists, which planned a major renovation and the development of outparcels along Palisades Boulevard. Wal-Mart's Neighborhood Market grocery moved into the space originally occupied by Winn-Dixie.

The Palisades has been recommended as the location of one of two "superstop" transit centers in BJCTA's 2006-2015 Transit Development Plan.
