Richard Franklin

Richard Franklin (born February 15, 1981 in Birmingham) is the Union President of the Birmingham Federation of Teachers (American Federation of Teachers Local No. 2115).

Franklin graduated from Parker High School in 1999 and Lawson State Community College in 2003. He and his wife, Tameka were married in 2020. In April 2021 he announced his candidacy to run for Birmingham City Council, District 5.
