2023 Sidewalk Film Festival

The 2023 Sidewalk Film Festival, held on August 21-27, 2023 was the 25th in the annual series.

The opening night film, screened at the Alabama Theater, was Miranda Yousef's "Art for Everybody", a documentary about Thomas Kinkade. Other venues included the Sidewalk Film Center at The Pizitz, the Birmingham Central Library, the Lyric Theatre, the ballroom at the Kress Building, the BJCC Theater, the Dorothy Jemison Day Theater at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and First Methodist Church.

Special "tracks" on the festival program included the "Shout" festival for films examining LGBTQ+ subjects, and the "Black Lens" track for film made by and about people of color.

Weekend passes for the 2023 festival were $115, and day passes were $50. Reserved seats for individual features were $15, and general admission tickets were $10 per screening.
