Rendering of the Alabama Fallen Warriors Monument

Alabama Fallen Warriors Monument is a memorial to members of the U.S. armed forces who lost their lives during the Global War on Terrorism. It was dedicated on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023 at Trussville Civitan Park, located along Parkway Drive near the Cahaba River in Trussville.

Development of the monument was initiated by Mark Davis, founder of the Alabama Fallen Warriors Project. The $200,000 privately-funded proposal was approved by the Trussville City Council on November 9, 2021 and ground was broken on December 11.

The monument consists of a grid of cast-in-place concrete columns, each representing a soldier killed in action, arrayed around a flag pole. Pavers at the base of the columns bear the names of veterans who suffered "non-hostile" deaths. The monument also includes a display of bronze busts of individuals on pedestals around the perimeter.
