Danny Rary

Danny P. Rary (born June 13, 1955; died August 1, 2023) was Chief of the Vestavia Hills Police Department from 2011 until his death.

Rary began his career in law enforcement in 1978 and joined the Vestavia Hills department in September 1981. As deputy chief he succeeded Butch Wilson as acting chief upon his retirement in January 2011. He was given the post permanently in May of that year.
