David Faulkner

David Faulkner (born June 27, 1968) is an attorney and state legislator, representing District 46 in the Alabama House of Representatives since 2014. Faulkner resides in Mountain Brook.

Faulkner received his bachelors degree from the University of Alabama and his law degree from The University of Alabama School of Law.

In 2014, Faulkner ran to fill the vacancy left by Paul DeMarco, defeating Steve French in the primary. In 2018 he defeated Felicia Stewart in the general election.

In 2015, Faulkner re-introduced a bill to prohibit local minimum wage laws during a special session of the state legislature. It was debated in the House of Representatives but set aside without a vote. He re-introduced the proposal as House Bill 174 during the 2016 Alabama Legislative Session. It was signed as Act of Alabama 2016-18 by Governor Robert Bentley on February 25, 2016.
