Salaam Green (born April 29, 1976 in Greensboro) is a poet and founding director of Literary Healing Arts.

Green attended Greensboro East High School and went on complete a bachelor of arts in English and family and child studies at the University of Montevallo, and a master of science in early childhood education and teaching at the University of North Dakota.

Green has worked as a child development specialist and trainer at the University of Alabama and as a curriculum coordinator and instructor at Lawson State Community College through a partnership with UAB. In 2009 she began working as an education training specialist for Alabama Public Television and in 2013 joined the faculties of Jefferson State Community College, Jacksonville State University and Gadsden State Community College as an instructor of family and consumer science and early childhood education. She has also served as a "Road Scholar" speaker for the Alabama Humanities Alliance and as vice-president and vice-chair of the Offender Alumni Association.

After experiencing the effectiveness of participating in a writing group to help her recover from a personal trauma, Green founded Literary Healing Arts in 2017 to promote writing for self-healing.

Green's poems have been published in the Alabama Arts Journal, Birmingham Arts Journal, Scalawag magazine, BUST magazine, Feminist Review, Elephant Journal, Black Youth Project, and Southern Women's Review, as well as in AL.com and The Birmingham Times. In January 2024 Green began a two-year term as the inaugural Poet Laureate of Birmingham.
