Southside is a neighborhood in Birmingham's Southside community. It is bound on the north by the Railroad Reservation; on the west by 22nd Street South; to the south by 10th Avenue South (west of the Elton B. Stephens Expressway), University Boulevard (between the Expressway and 32nd Street South), and 6th Avenue South (east of 32nd Street); and to the east by 37th Street South.

Notable institutions in the Southside neighborhood include the SouthTown Court housing project, Dr Pepper Place, most of the Lakeview entertainment district, Alabama Industries for the Blind, Alabama Workforce Training Center, and the Birmingham VA Primary Care Annex. Major employers in the neighborhood include BBVA Compass, Brasfield & Gorrie and Mayer Electric Supply.

Underwood Park and the Rotary Trail are the only public parks in the Southside neighborhood, but Brother Bryan Park, Lakeview Park and Avondale Park are close by.

The Southside Neighborhood Association meets monthly at the Exchange Club Family Skills Center on 10th Court South.
