Jacklyn was born in the midwest but grew up in Dothan and studied music (flute performance) at the University of Montevallo. She moved to Birmingham after marrying Jason Hamric in 2001 and worked as a restaurant server for a while before going back to school to for a bachelor of applied arts in interior design at Virginia College. She interned at Giattina Fisher Aycock in 2004 and worked for EISYS office furniture for a year before starting at Cohen Carnaggio Reynolds in 2007.
Loquidis-Hamric founded the "Peppermags" design blog in 2007 and "I Am The F Bomb", a blog which showcased female voices, in 2013.
Loquidis-Hamric has performed as a solo musician and as part of Twinside. She is also the announcer for the Tragic City Rollers. She began hosting the "Jackie Lo Show" on Substrate Radio in 2013. The program was later picked up by Birmingham Mountain Radio. In 2018 she joined with Mandy Graffeo and Mikey D in the rock trio Dree Leer, named for her old AOL Instant Messenger handle.
