- January 6: Cody Stewart, 28, was shot to death by a Gadsden Police officer on Hinsdale Avenue in the Alabama City neighborhood of Gadsden. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the incident. (report)
