Black Creek Bridge from the north, May 2011

Black Creek Bridge was built in 1926 in Fultondale as part of U. S. Highway 31. It is now part of Old Decatur Highway and is still in service as of 2016. Black Creek Bridge crosses over Black Creek Park and Black Creek as well as the Cane Creek Branch rail line. It was placed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on July 16, 1976.

On January 25, 2021 the bridge was closed to vehicular traffic due to possible damage from the 2021 Fultondale tornado.
