Caldwell Mill Road is a historic wagon road and current major route through parts of southern Jefferson County and northern Shelby County. The southern section is signed as Shelby County Road 29.

Historically, the road connected Caldwell's Mill to the Huntsville Road and to Jones Valley, by way of Watkin's Gap.

The section extending from Camp Horner Road south to Heatherwood Drive, is scheduled to be widened with a central turn lane in 2019.
