Pierre graduated from Archbishop Blenk High School and enrolled at Xavier University in New Orleans as a political science major. She switched to mass communications before completing her bachelor's degree in [[2013]]. While in college she interned at WBOK-AM and was promoted their to news producer and eventually to community events director and host of a drive-time talk show. After five years there she moved over to New Orleans' public radio, WWNO-FM, and served as host there for "All Things Considered" before coming to [[Birmingham]] in the same role in [[2018]].
