KISS is a hard-rock band noted for theatrical costumes and make-up and effects-filled performances. It was founded in New York City in 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, and has since sold more than 100 million records worldwide. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
