This is a List of Birmingham hip-hop artists, a growing list of significant musicians and groups born or based in the Birmingham area.

Venues

The Birmingham hip hop scene was decidedly underground before Jon Malone began organizing "Eargasm" events at the High Note Lounge on 21st Street South between 1999 and 2004. It was revived with a new generation of artists in 2009 when Rashid Qandil began holding Lobotomix events at Speakeasy on 3rd Avenue North, later at the Syndicate Lounge on 20th Street South.
